About Ratan Tata

Ratan Tata, born December 28, 1937, is an Indian industrialist, and former chairman of Tata Sons. Under his leadership, Tata Group transformed from a largely India-centric company into a global business, with acquisitions including Tetley, Jaguar Land Rover, and Corus. Beyond business, Tata is known for his philanthropy through the Tata Trusts, which control 66% of the shares of Tata Sons.
